Arbital Health is a rapidly growing healthcare technology and actuarial leader that centralizes, measures, and adjudicates value-based care contracts at scale. We enable payers and providers to design, measure, and execute value-based agreements with greater transparency, efficiency, and financial predictability.
We invest in hiring high potential and humble individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can rapidly grow their responsibilities as we continue to accelerate our growth.
We were co-founded by Brian Overstreet and Travis May (founder & former CEO of LiveRamp and Datavant, the two biggest data companies of the last 20 years), and are backed by Transformation Capital, Valtruis and other leading investors. In our first 2 years, Arbital Health has established itself as a trusted partner for over 40 payers, providers, and other stakeholders looking to navigate the complexities of risk-based contracting.
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer that will work across our product stack — from React components to API routes to the SQL queries behind them — owning features end to end, from design through production. You'll work in an AI-native environment -- fluency with AI coding tools isn't just a nice-to-have; it's how we ship fast without sacrificing quality. You will have real ownership early: you will be trusted to take a well-scoped problem and run with it. This is a strong fit if you care about the craft of building interfaces people actually enjoy using, and you want to go deep on a genuinely hard problem space: making complex healthcare and financial data legible. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with both engineers and other internal teams, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What you'll do:

    ● Turn dense actuarial and financial output into interfaces that are clear at a glance, including data tables, charts, and exports that hold up under real-world data volumes and actuarial scrutiny
    ● Build customer-facing and internal interfaces in our Next.js and React application — the product our customers use to design and monitor the performance of their value-based care contracts
    ● Design and implement the API routes that power those features, working with high volumes of complex healthcare data
    ● Work closely with our Product, Design, and actuarial science teams to bring their models and designs to life in the product
    ● Write tests, review teammates’ code, and help keep the codebase something the team is glad to work in

What you bring:

    ● 2-5 years of professional full-stack development experience
    ● A track record of shipping features to production that real users depend on
    ● Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, Python, and React — you understand component design, state, and rendering behavior, not just the syntax
    ● Able to work entrepreneurially: self-motivated, ambitious, and comfortable in a rapidly changing, ambiguous start-up environment
    ● Prior healthcare experience is a plus
    ● Startup experience is a plus

Tools we use:

    ● Python, R, SQL, Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, FastAPI
    ● Claude, Cursor
    ● Infrastructure: AWS, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Airflow
    ● Version Control: GitHub
    ● Team Planning: Jira, Confluence
