General Dentist

Clove Dental | Ventura, CA

Daily Base Range: $850–$1,000/day
Schedule: Full-time preferred; candidates available at least 3 days per week will also be considered.
Work Location: In person

Current shift availability:

• Thousand Oaks: Monday
• Riverpark (Oxnard): Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
• Ventura- 2nd and 4th Saturday

Join Our Clinical Team

Clove Dental is seeking an experienced General Dentist to join our Ventura office. Our practice has served the community for over 30 years, and we pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care, a collaborative environment, and strong clinical support that allows our doctors to grow and perform at their best.

This opportunity is ideal for a dentist who is comfortable practicing independently, providing comprehensive care, and contributing to a supportive clinical team.

Full-time scheduling and additional days will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation

Daily Base Range: $850–$1,000/day

As compensation for all services rendered, the Company will pay the Dentist the greater of:

(i) 30% of adjusted production (less lab fees and patient refunds), calculated on a bi-weekly payroll cycle; or
(ii) A guaranteed minimum daily rate, paid in accordance with the Company’s payroll schedule.

Additional Incentives

• Sign-On Bonus: Significant bonuses available (often several thousand dollars), based on start date and schedule.
• Continuing Education: Access to CE units through Clove Dental University for approved CE courses.
• Malpractice Support: Beginning in Year 3, the Company will provide a $1,000 annual stipend toward malpractice insurance (at Company discretion).

Ownership Track

High-performing dentists may be invited to join our Ownership Track, which offers:

• Up to 32% of production based on performance tiers
• Eligibility regardless of days worked (2–5 days/week)
• Opportunity to buy into future Clove Dental offices and earn quarterly profit distributions

Qualifications & Performance Expectations

Minimum Requirement: Current California Dental License, Active and Current with no Faults

Average Daily Production of $3,000-$4,000 a day, promotion at the $4,000 a day average over last 6 months

Additional requirements:

• DDS/DMD from an accredited program
• At least 2 years of general dentistry experience
• Confidence performing a broad range of general dentistry procedures
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Dependable attendance and a collaborative, growth-oriented attitude

Clinical Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, treatment plan, and provide comprehensive general dentistry across a broad range of patient needs.
• Perform restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, extractions, endodontic procedures, emergency care, and other procedures within demonstrated competency and permitted scope.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans and effectively communicate diagnoses, treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
• Manage more complex cases and appropriately coordinate specialty treatment, referrals, and multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain strong clinical production through effective diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, efficient scheduling, and appropriate procedure mix while preserving independent clinical judgment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and documentation in Open Dental.
• Lead the clinical team during the patient day, working closely with assistants, hygienists, and front-office staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Support and mentor Dentist I providers and clinical team members through case discussions and sharing clinical best practices.
• Maintain strong standards for patient experience, quality of care, case completion, reappointment, and continuity of care.

At-Will Employment

Employment with Clove Dental is at-will unless otherwise expressly provided in a written agreement signed by an authorized Company representative.
