About Us:
Grow was born to tackle a critical challenge: making mental health care more effective and accessible for everyone. Since launching in 2020, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, and we've barely scratched the surface. We do it through a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Every solution we build reveals ten more waiting to be delivered, and that's just what gets us going. We've backed that ambition with more than $328M in funding, including our Series D at a $3B valuation from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, Menlo Ventures, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and others.
At Grow, the work you do can literally change someone's life. Your work here doesn't stay on a screen; it impacts whether someone can find, afford, and access quality care. That ambition sets us apart, and offers you an endless runway to impact one of the world's most urgent issues. We don’t have passenger seats here. Everyone is driving something that matters.
This work deserves real commitment. So if you thrive on meeting problems head on, untangling serious complexity, and working at pace with the sharpest yet kindest people around, you've come to the right place.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Senior or Staff Product Designer to join our Product Growth team. This role will shape how clients discover and navigate early parts of their experience with Grow Therapy. The Product Growth team is within our Match Success org, one of Grow's highest-priority areas where we help clients identify their needs, evaluate potential providers, and get them started on their therapy journey. You'll lead 0→1 design work — from strategy through launch — impacting millions of people looking for mental health support, and set the craft bar for how growth-focused design gets done at Grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
Explore a wide array of hypotheses and problems and then strive to create a clear point of view on what to build, translating business goals and client needs into concrete design briefs and roadmap milestones
Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team growth problems — funnel drop-off, activation friction, new programs, channel optimizations — and turn them into shippable design work
Design and prototype end-to-end, from early concept through high-fidelity design and production handoff, staying close through iteration to resolve issues as they arise
Champion design excellence by treating product as an extension of of our brand, ensuring every touchpoint meets the highest quality standards
Partner with Product Management, Data Science, and Engineering to design and interpret experiments, using quantitative and qualitative signals to inform design decisions
Use AI-powered tools as a natural part of your workflow to prototype faster, explore more directions, and multiply your own and your team's output without sacrificing craft
You'll Be a Good Fit If:
6+ years of end-to-end (UX and UI) product design experience on consumer-facing or marketplace products; growth team experience a plus
Portfolio demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence—shipped outcomes, not just polished mocks
Strong visual design sensibility, with range across systemized UI and more expressive, brand-forward work
Experience leading design on high-impact projects, including giving direction and feedback to other designers
Ability to think strategically about product vision — not just how something should look, but what should be built and why
Experience shipping applications or software across mobile and web
Skilled at using AI as a creative and productivity multiplier, moving faster and exploring more ideas without sacrificing judgment
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate and defend design decisions to both design and non-design partners
Experience establishing design workflows, systems, and team practices that scale beyond a single project
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, PM, and other disciplines as true partners, not just stakeholders
