WHAT YOU'LL DO AT H1
We're looking for a People Business Partner who is equally comfortable running a seamless onboarding experience, coaching a manager through a tough conversation, and presenting turnover trends to senior leadership. This role is both strategic and hands-on — you'll own key people programs end-to-end while partnering closely with our SVP, People and the broader People & Culture team to build a culture where employees thrive. You'll also provide day-to-day oversight to our Office Assistant, keeping our NYC office running smoothly.

You will:
- Own the full new hire onboarding experience — including the Buddy program, 30/60-day check-ins, swag, and new hire surveys — driving continuous improvement at every step
- Manage our twice-annual engagement survey cycle through Culture Amp: drafting questions, analyzing results, and partnering with leadership on action planning
- Facilitate the 360 feedback process and design and deliver a manager development program that equips people leaders with the tools and frameworks to lead effectively
- Analyze turnover data, facilitate quarterly churn reviews with stakeholders, and translate findings into retention recommendations
- Guide managers through the full performance management lifecycle — goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, calibration, and PIPs — ensuring fairness, consistency, and solid documentation
- Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting impartial investigations and advising on conflict resolution
- Lead exit interviews and synthesize themes for leadership
- Provide day-to-day direction to the Office Assistant on office management tasks including facilities coordination, vendor management, supply ordering, and in-office event logistics
- Support and grow our Business Resource Groups (BRGs), acting as a connector between BRG leaders and the People team

ABOUT YOU

You're a people-first HRBP who knows how to balance empathy with accountability. You're equally comfortable using data to make a case to leadership as you are sitting across from an employee who needs support. You thrive in a growth-stage environment and can build programs from scratch without losing sight of the people behind the process.

- Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple programs simultaneously without dropping details
- Strong facilitator — comfortable running training sessions, calibrations, and sensitive conversations
- Analytically minded — you use Culture Amp, HRIS data, and turnover trends to tell a clear story.
- Trusted partner who builds credibility quickly across all levels of an organization
- NYC-based and comfortable with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office)

REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5+ years of experience in an HRBP, People Operations, or similar role
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of onboarding programs or employee experience initiatives
- Experience facilitating 360 feedback processes and manager development programs
- Strong working knowledge of performance management and employee relations best practices
- Experience with HRIS and engagement platforms — Culture Amp strongly preferred
- Proven ability to analyze HR data and present insights clearly to leadership
- Experience building tools with AI and/or Excel for employee-facing materials or analytics
- Background in L&D, organizational development, or experience supporting office operations a plus
COMPENSATION
This role pays $110,000 to $125,000 per year, based on experience, in addition to equity.
Anticipated role close date: 06/30/2026
