Role: Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Team: Accounting/Finance

Location: Salt Lake City Metro Area (preferred) or US Remote

Travel: <5%, US

What you'll own in this role:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reporting, including SEC filings
  • Perform research to ensure that financial statements and disclosures are presented in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Perform technical accounting research and prepare technical accounting memos
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects which may include acquisition accounting and other technical accounting projects
  • Assist in coordination of internal control testing and maintaining effective internal controls
  • Assist with external audits

What you bring to this role:

  • Strong work ethic and detail-oriented
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well with others in a hybrid work environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Preferred Education & Experience

  • CPA required
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience
  • Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience with Workiva, Workday, and AI preferred, but not required

Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security.
  • Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
