Job Summary
The Head of Marketing role is designed for a high‑energy and mission‑driven leader who has demonstrated strong performance and is ready for expanded responsibility. This leader will shape the company’s market narrative, technology positioning, product marketing, demand strategy, and event presence in close partnership with growth and the product organizations. The role requires a data‑driven marketer who can translate product capabilities into clear buyer value, generate qualified funnel growth, and guide cost‑effective marketing investments. Success requires strategic thinking, hands‑on execution, and a deep commitment to advancing the next phase of Health Catalyst’s technology‑led growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and rollout of the company narrative, product positioning, PR messaging, and GTM strategy for the healthcare market.
- Build and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that expand awareness, generate qualified funnel growth, and support customer acquisition and retention in a cost‑effective manner.
- Oversee product marketing, including segmentation, buyer insights, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement.
- Lead account based marketing strategies that support adoption, loyalty, referenceability, and expansion.
- Direct all demand generation programs, including SEM, SEO, ABM, and paid media, with clear ROI, CAC efficiency, and qualified funnel contribution targets.
- Own the company’s events and trade show strategy, ensuring consistent messaging, strong presence, and measurable and cost‑responsible pipeline impact.
- Improve messaging, content, and campaign performance through ongoing analysis and insights sharing across the organization.
- Leverage owned and third‑party channels to broaden reach and strengthen brand authority at efficient cost.
- Manage and develop a high‑performing marketing team that delivers creativity, operational excellence, and measurable results.
Required Experience
- Proven ability to shape a clear and compelling narrative that connects product capabilities to buyer needs and industry pain points.
- Experience bringing new products, features, or major enhancements to market, including positioning, messaging, launch planning, and sales enablement.
- Demonstrated success partnering with Product and Sales to align messaging, drive adoption, and ensure readiness for market rollout.
- Strong background in product marketing and demand generation, with the ability to translate market insights into effective campaigns and qualified funnel growth.
- Track record of using data to guide decisions, measure ROI, and optimize marketing investments.
- Experience managing or contributing to events and trade shows that drive meaningful awareness and pipeline impact.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without authority, especially in fast‑moving environments.
- Demonstrated growth in responsibility and scope, showing readiness for an expanded leadership role.
Education & Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or a related field. Advanced degree helpful but not required.
- Strong familiarity with Health Catalyst products, customers, and market dynamics.
- Ten or more years of experience in healthcare or technology with clear growth in responsibility and scope.
- Proven ability to develop and communicate a clear narrative that connects product capabilities to buyer needs.
- Demonstrated success bringing new products or major enhancements to market, including positioning, messaging, launch planning, and sales enablement.
- Experience partnering with Product, Sales, and Growth teams to align messaging, buyer insights, and GTM execution.
- Hands‑on experience with product marketing and demand generation, including data‑driven decision making and ROI accountability.
- Experience planning and executing events and trade shows that produce measurable funnel or awareness outcomes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and influence cross‑functional partners.
- Ability to convert data and market insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- High comfort working with technology concepts and translating them for business and clinical audiences.

Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security.
- Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.
- Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
