Work is reviewed with the occasional need for material direction or implementation changes

Seeks and provides guidance via PR reviews, pair-programming and other interactions with Engineers and Product Managers

It is second nature to develop high code quality standards balanced with the needs of real-world customer timelines.

Can Respond quickly to operational emergencies, find short term resolutions and plan long term fixes to avoid similar issues in the future.

What you own in the role:

  • Develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using .NET Core / .NET 8 on the backend and React.js on the frontend, applying strong data structures and algorithms knowledge to design efficient, optimized solutions across the stack.

  • Design and build distributed microservices architectures using ASP.NET Core, implementing patterns such as API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Event Sourcing, and CQRS to ensure loose coupling, fault tolerance, and independent deployability of services.

  • Develop and expose secure, versioned RESTful and gRPC APIs across microservices, with robust inter-service communication using Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Grid for asynchronous, event-driven workflows.

  • Deploy and manage cloud-native microservices on Azure using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Registry, and Azure API Management — with a strong emphasis on observability, service mesh, and infrastructure-as-code using Bicep or Terraform.

  • Build reusable, performant React component libraries using TypeScript, applying algorithmic thinking to optimize rendering performance, virtual DOM efficiency, and state management using Redux or Zustand at scale.

  • Apply strong DS&A fundamentals — including graph traversal, tree structures, dynamic programming, and efficient search/sort algorithms — to solve complex backend processing, data aggregation, and query optimization challenges.

  • Design and enforce microservice resilience patterns including retry policies, idempotency, distributed tracing (Azure Monitor, Application Insights), and health checks to ensure system reliability and observability across services.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through architectural design reviews, algorithm problem-solving sessions, and code reviews — building team capability in microservices design, cloud-native development, and engineering best practices.

What you bring to this role:

Knowledge of healthcare compliance and how it applies to Application Security

Agile/Scrum software development practices

Business Intelligence or Data warehousing experience

Preferred Experience and Education:

BS/BA or MS in Computer science, information systems, or other technology/science degree.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in building commercial software, SaaS, or digital platforms.
