Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, Python, ETL development, and data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with large-scale data processing systems, relational databases, ETL tools, reporting platforms, and Python-based automation solutions.

The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise data pipelines, reporting solutions, and database-driven applications in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will also be expected to work closely with US-based clients and stakeholders, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data integration workflows.

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects in MSSQL and MySQL.

  • Work with ETL tools such as Pentaho or equivalent technologies for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.

  • Build Python-based automation scripts and data processing utilities.

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in SQL queries, ETL jobs, and reporting systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather and implement data requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with US-based clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and resolve technical issues.

  • Participate in client discussions, status meetings, and technical walkthroughs.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across multiple systems.

  • Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, and production support.

  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical design decisions.

  • Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in SQL (MSSQL and MySQL).

  • Hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) or equivalent ETL tools.

  • Experience in Python scripting, automation, and data processing.

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of AWS services and cloud-based data processing concepts.

  • Experience communicating with US-based clients and working in global delivery environments.

Good to Have

  • Basic healthcare domain knowledge.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Experience Required

5+ years of relevant industry experience in software engineering, ETL, or data engineering roles.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
