Job Description

As the Director of Product Operations you’ll be a key leader within the product organization reporting into the Chief Product Officer. At Unite Us, Product Operations plays a pivotal role bringing together product management and design teams to launch best in class features and functionality across the Unite Us product suite. The team coordinates planning, release management, go-to-market activities and communications, and drives consistency in product development best practices across the product organization. Product operations is responsible for ensuring product teams are held accountable to their outcomes and ensuring the product organization is set up to scale consistently and with low friction.
 
You will develop the Product Operations function at Unite Us - defining and managing best practices related to product planning, product roadmaps, product prioritization and release management. This role is critical to organizational efficiency as it supports consistency and avoids accruing debt in the organization. 
 
You will manage and develop a team of product managers and operate at a strategic level to drive process improvements and create value across our product and engineering teams. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, legal and customer success teams at Unite Us to increase awareness of product releases and enhancements which in turn increases our customer and user satisfaction with adoption of our products.

 What You'll Do:
 
Partner with product and design leadership to define and deliver on an ambitious product operations strategy and roadmap.
Drive a cohesive product roadmap process and strategy across multiple product teams, managing updates and communications to both internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and lead the execution of improvements to our current product development process including planning, product definition and discovery, release management and post launch support.
Drive the improvement of key processes by partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales and Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations 
Manage the product organization tooling and education.
Lead and mentor a team of 3 Product Operations Managers and set the vision of your team for continued growth and performance. 
Create context for and empower your team to identify improvements to ways of working, foster creativity, and deliver operational excellence to the product organization
Cultivate an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work and advocate for your team and team members
Foster deep collaboration, disrupt silos, and promote transparency by connecting people, managing cross-team dynamics, and partnering with other functional leads to ensure the product organization is operating effectively at all levels
 
You’re a good fit for this role if you have:
 
5+ years of relevant professional experience in product ideally in a high-growth and/or technology environment
2+ years of experience in leading a product operations team
Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering results. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You’re ready to get into the weeds when needed, and are willing to learn the detailed ins-and-outs of our operations to improve, build and scale.
Strong organizational skills. Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Process-driven with a focus on the details.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. Must be comfortable speaking with external customers and internal stakeholders.  
You have a knack for building relationships with cross-functional partners, and know how to lead projects and ensure that achievements are hit.
Positive ‘can do’ demeanor, self-motivated, and self-directed
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Knowledge of product management and design methodologies and tools: Atlassian, Asana, ServiceNow, Figma, Aha, etc.
Enablement focus; you enjoy building and maintaining scalable processes and resources that benefit a broader team and make them more self-sufficient.
Adaptable: Ability to dynamically adapt to shifts in priorities, resolving contention and solving problems across teams.
 
Environmental Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
 
This position is remote, U.S. based
The target pay range for this role is: $170-180k
All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
