Unite Us is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant who has a passion for our mission and strong business acumen. As a key member of the Finance Team, the Senior Revenue Accountant will work across departmental lines to review contracts, determine revenue recognition, drive timely A/R collections to support the Company’s working capital strategy and implement process improvements via automation. The Senior Accountant, Revenue will need to be an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and adaptable in high-growth, fast-paced environments. The role will be part of a small and nimble team that fosters an environment of creativity, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with Financial Reporting and FP&A teams to produce timely financial statement and KPI data around revenue and related balance sheet accounts
Review customer contracts and record revenue in NetSuite ERP in accordance with ASC606
Maintain monthly revenue, deferred revenue, un-billed revenue and accounts receivable ledgers
Review GAAP updates and create and/or maintain technical accounting memo’s as appropriate
Collaborate with Sales and Legal teams on customer agreements
Generate and manage customer invoices in NetSuite on timely basis
Assess sales & use tax impact on a contract-by-contract basis. Collect and maintain tax exemption support for all customers as needed
Perform a weekly review of the A/R Aging report; discuss open balances with the Accounting Manager and conduct weekly follow-ups with customers to ensure timely collection
Forecast the collections of open A/R balances based on customer correspondence. Communicate changes to collections plan weekly to the FP&A Team
Continuously evaluate and assist in driving improvements to the Revenue Recognition process and related software systems
Evaluate and implement internal control and related documentation around revenue recognition and related balance sheet activities
Prepare and/or review supporting schedules for the external audit and tax related processes
Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement reporting packages
Perform other finance and accounting duties and special projects as assigned
You’re a great fit for this role if:
At least 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of Software / SaaS revenue recognition
General ability to read and apply technical GAAP literature
Advanced understanding of how financial statements impact each other
Creative and strategic thinker
Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks performed
Demonstrated ability to work well with others while being able to take initiative and problem solve with minimal oversight
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
BA/BS in Accountancy, MBA a plus
NetSuite experience required, Advance Rev Rec Module a plus
Proficiency in Google G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, expert in Excel
CPA preferred, but not required for the right experience
Big 4 public accounting experience or publicly traded Software / SaaS experienced preferred, combination of both highly desired

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
This position is remote, U.S. based
Target pay range is $90,000 - $100,000. This range represents our national target range for this role. Some geographic areas may have higher target ranges, including certain localities in Colorado.
This position may require 5-10% travel
